The Split Screen Bakery is a new business venture encompassing May, a 1965 VW panel van.
May has recently been refurbished and converted to provide a storage, preparation and a service area for coffees, specialty beverages and luxury cakes.
The brief for the website for The Split Screen Bakery was to create something vintage, classy, luxury in design and in terms of functionality it needed to be updatable and feature a blog so that May’s adventures could be reported.
Whilst May was having her pamper session Pedleyonline worked in conjunction with business owners Ash and Kay to meet the brief for logo design and branding. The image portrayed was crucial as it was to be used not only on the website but also as a ‘wrap’ on May herself. The Split Screen Bakery logo has been used on business cards and potentially will be used on other promotional materials in future such as menus, flyers, cups and napkins.
Whilst the website was under development we used the new logo along with a complementary background to place a single holding page online which provided contact information and links to new social media pages. The holding page was a way of professionally conveying contact info, getting early exposure for the domain name on Google and linking to social media.
Social Media pages were branded consistently with the web page and linked and were immediately put to excellent use to track May’s progress and transformation and the early development of this great new business. This included the all important task of cake sampling!
Website planning took the form of a short informal meeting followed by regular contact by phone and email. The website structure was developed. The logo and backgrounds were used to portray the vintage, classy, luxury image. On page text content written and supplied by business owners and entrepreneurs Ash and Kay was inserted and the finishes touches were simply stunning professional photographs of May following her transformation and her attendance at her first few events.
May is available for bookings for events, rallies, festivals, parties, weddings and corporate events. A novel attraction serving delicious refreshments.
The website has been built with good basic on-page SEO techniques with regular off page activity on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and other external promotional activity planned – including exposure created from personal appearances by May herself in action at upcoming events and bookings.
The website has a horizontal navigation menu to include:
- The Split Screen Bakery homepage
