A dream, not a nightmare

When we were asked to work on the website for Scream – Britain’s premier Horror Magazine it was the furthest thing from a nightmare, we’d go as far as to say it was a dream job!

Built in WordPress to allow complete flexibility and the facility for Scream Horror Mag to make their own updates the site is essentially a blog combined with a store, aptly named the ‘Gorestore’. Here horror fans can subscribe to the popular bi-monthly horror mag, purchase back issues, annuals, binders etc.

Frequent blog entries ensure that Scream Horror Magazine’s reputation for being a frighteningly good source for all things horror is well supported and promoted with links to their strong following on Facebook, Twitter and a variety of other social media networks.

Blog categories include horror movie news, exclusive competitions and promotion of the lastest Scream Horror Magazine issue. The site has a search facility, blog categories, latest posts and a tag cloud.

Scream Horror Magazine is evidence that print is definately not dead. The UK Horror Magazine is printed in colour and features horror movie news and reviews, dvds, on-set exclusives, celebrity interviews, horror books, games, film festivals reports, comics, photography, previews and competitions.

The Scream Horror Mag brand was already well established yet this project still provided creative challenge and satisfaction with the dramatic imagery characteristic of the genre. A fading banner and rotating image panel on the homepage showcase the latest additions to the site.
