The Running Costs
Although we don't charge any monthly fees for your website, you'll still need to pay for web hosting and the cost of renewing your domain every 2 years. You'll also need to consider the cost of updating your site. At Pedleyonline we're up front with our prices, there'll be no nasty surprises from us! - Below is our simple guide to the cost of running your site.
From time to time you'll need to make changes to your website, perhaps you want to add details of a new product or service you offer, make a change to the news section of your site, or simply change a phone number.
At Pedleyonline updates are charged at £20.00 an hour and by the minute, we don't have a minimum charge, so if you just want to update a phone number or change some text and images and it only takes 15 minutes we'll only charge for 15 minutes. For example 15 minutes would cost £5.00. We'll always give you a price up front before going ahead with any updates. Sending us your images and text for updates via email or on disk will save time and will help to keep the cost down.
For larger updates we'll usually agree a set price rather than working on an hourly rate. See more in our F.A.Q's
All of our web sites include basic search engine optimisation however there's always more that can be done. We favour organic Search Engine Optimisation rather than short term Search Engine Marketing such as paid inclusion/pay per click. With SEM when you stop paying you stop receiving the benefits. Our optimisation techniques rely on good practice and structure when building and developing your web pages and also on ensuring that the content is well optimised, well written and relevant. This provides longer lasting results.

For a UK based business we recommend you go for a .co.uk domain name. The cost of a .co.uk domain is currently £12.00 for 2 years. We also arrange .com domains these are currently £25.00 for 2 years. Prices for domain names are subject to change however we will consult you prior to purchasing a domain name on your behalf if there's a significant difference in price.
